How does offline Career mode work?

Hey guys,

 

I've been playing for a couple of days now in offline mode, without VC (servers were shutdown). The main problem is that I only get a few points per match to buy upgrades and my player rating does not seem to go up. Currently, I have a contract for 300 points per match but whenever I sim or get foul out I do not receive any points at all. There must be a way to sim matches or quit without losing all possible points.

UPDATE: Nevermind, I have unlocked the trophies I was looking for. For anyone interested in, before sim matches be sure to score a high amount of points and assist in order to keep unlocking challenges even if you sim matches. There is the only way of getting points without playing the game. Other methods were patched, which totally make sense.
