Item Detector Refuses to Pop

Item Detector has failed to pop for me... at least twice.

 

After finishing the game for the first time, I went for all the hidden items. Upon the trophy not popping, I assumed I had missed the one in Hein Castle. So, I reloaded a save I had handy from right before that, this time closely following a guide. After fighting the 5th boss in Eureka, no trophy. I tried a bunch of different things from fighting random battles, saving and reloading, entering towns, and still nothing.

 

So I delete my entire save data and run through the game again, and upon fighting the 5th boss, still nothing.

 

Is anyone else in a similar situation? The only thing I can think of is when I fight the last Eureka boss I get rewarded with the new jobs at the same time which makes it an atypical hidden item collection. I'm going to try it one more time by saving a regular town hidden item for last.

I got it. I had not collected the summons in these playthroughs, and it popped once I beat Bahamut.

 

This was surprising, as no guide or forum post I found made mention of the summons counting toward Item Detector.

Im facing the same problem, got all the weapons, have all the summons, still not popping.
