UNDEAD NIGHTMARE: Undead Hunter - Rank 3 help?

So I've been trying really hard to beat this rank for the 100%.

But nothing has been working out for me.

 

I've tried replicating Youtube videos I've seen that succeeded, nothing.

I shot multiple Retchers that did kill multiple undead.

I tried having Undead run into the explosions, still nothing.

 

I really don't understand what's going on or if I'm doing something wrong.

Any help would be highly appreciated!

It's bugged - even done correctly it won't register the first few times. You just have to keep doing it until the game decides to count it.

 

The explosive rifle helps. I got it when I was clearing one of the mexican towns and was on top of a house with all the zombies swarming the inside trying to get me. I fired an explosive rifle shot into the doorway from above and killed a ton of zombies at once and the rank counted. 

 

Don't bother with the hogtie method. Doesn't seem to work.

I followed your advice and have been shooting for a while now.

And I can finally say I got the rank to count! I appreciate the feedback.

 

It sucks these glitches are still present, but I guess it was to be expected.

But now I can finally move on to a waaaaay better rank, killing annoying animals with a torch woohoo

Use the horse "Pestilence" for that. He's invincible to everything but drowning and long falls so if you sit on him you can swing at bears all day while they fruitlessly attack.
