Each character is unlocked by beating Single Play with a specific team. Some of them require you to beat the game with multiple different teams. A few have alternative requirements - Wu Wongfu team ia unlocked through playing Endless Battle, and Tobioka can also be unlocked that way. The video above explains how to unlock each character. But please note that while in the video it says you only need to play as each team, actually, you must complete Single Play with those teams.
