Map easter egg ...

I was just looking at the map of the island when all of a sudden something struck me...

 

Hint: 

 

It looks like the island itself also has a 'map' !

 

It's yet another example of things that were put there on purpose... I'll check it out tonight, but I'm willing to bet that...:

 

The floating lights indicate the locations of the lasers...

Better than that.

 

The lake in the middle of the town is the map!

 

The lanterns turn on when you activate a laser. 

The white flowers bloom when you find an audio log. 

The yellow flowers bloom when you find a cave exit. 

The clams open when you open a theatre hexagon vault. 

The fountains correspond to the obelisks.

 

The statue of the woman in the lake with the lit lantern slowly emerges from the lake over the course of the game and very, very slowly animates and moves.

One more thing - the triangle tutorials are denoted by triangle-shaped leaves on the surface. I don't know if that's when they're solved, or if there's no demarcation on whether a triangle is solved or not.

there is, they change colors from orange to brown, it becomes a dry leaf
