Character Creation bugged?

Due to having to restart my save (I don't even know why it was mysteriously gone, and it's not among my uploaded saves on the cloud either), I notice the Character Creation portion is bugged, or is for me at least.

 

Every time I go to Appearance > Face Detail > Similar Face to look through for one that might be closer to how I want my character to look so I'm not  spending 30+ minutes creating my character (Not exactly an exaggeration sadly...), and I don't see a face that I like, I press     but it applies the face I had highlighted anyway, even though     is to go back, not accept. So I then have to go back to the preset face, and try it again.

 

Just wondering if anyone has encountered this or anything similar.
