I completed the challenge and I got the in game award and now I have 745/1000 deaths but for the trophy you need only 100. Is it possible to delete the progress for challanges or whole profile? because only saved data that I found was options saved data. Edit: Just got the trophy after completing second stage of "wear the helmet". Apparently It's not possible to delete your progress so... If trophy didn't pop at 100 deaths with a headshot, your only option is to die 900 more times and after that you will complete second stage of this challange and unlock the trophy.
