Trophy guide, walkthrough and hints

This is a funny, interesting and original action puzzle game. It can only be bought currently on the asian stores. It's a 5 difficulty, 20 to 30 hours to finish, possibly more towards the 30. It probably took me more time than the 30 but I was trying to be perfect on some things (as usual :-( ) and I found almost zilch information on the S-Ranks so had to figure out all by trial and error.

Beware that the game has bugs and it's quite unreliable and one of the trophies will make you lose your patience a lot. Sometimes you lose rioters for the most ridiculous things and some of them have a mind of their own, which means they get stuck or die for ridiculous reasons that you can't control. Mines sometimes will kill a ton of your rioters, sometimes the same mine in another play will not kill any, using the same movements and techniques. Some of your rioters will get stuck in dumb places and you can't control that, they will get killed. In Anarland there's a trap that will launch a pink gas that will freeze your rioters, but sometimes it will kill them (and they disappear, which is weird so I think it's a bug). There's enemies that will disappear inside buildings but keep killing your rioters through walls and you can't reach them. Yes it's a mess sometimes.
So it's HIGHLY advisable that you don't try to achieve S-ranks while playing the game to the end the first time. Just finish it and do this lastly or you'll regret it , as you will most probably hate the game. It did made me remember Tearaway on the Vita, but even worse... 

 

 

The revolution begins, Tokyo : Done!, Paris : Done!, Miami : Done!, Reykjavik : Done!, Anarland : Done!, False good idea and It was him all along! - all story related will all pop when finishing the game.
No mercy -  Also story related but "missable". It's in the credits section, which will be the last movie icon on the mission selector in Anarland. As you travel down the area, there's a alley going left, enter it and you'll find a square with a sandcastle. Destroy it, trophy will pop.

 

Crowded skies, 200 according to the police - these will surely pop along the way

 

Rioting Safari - on most levels, when you break one or more of the cages you'll get a new animal head. You'll need to finish successfully the level for them to be added to your collection. Do this thoroughly in your normal playthrough as there's no way to know which ones you missed.

Monomaniac and Chrysalis - The Butterfly can only be unlocked by finishing a level with the catterpillar as the only crowd animal. The catterpillar is unlocked in the mission Miami - The Wrong Stuff. You can earn both these trophies by playing the easiest level with only the catterpillar in the "custo" menu. Just remove all other animals except the catterpillar from the "Your Crowd" to the "Volunteers". The animals are cosmetic only.

 

Compulsive buyer - To get this you'll have to buy all 12 items in the dispenser. There's 3 tiers with 4 items on each, and they cost 2 coins on the lowest one, 3 on the 2nd and 4 on the 3rd. You'll get a coin the first time you finish a mission. There's no coins for the last 3 missions, and you'll get enough coins to buy all the items in the dispenser and popping the trophy finishing successfully all missions except these. There are missions you can avoid to finish a area, but you'll need them anyway for this trophy and the S-ranks one.

One man army - There are missions where you only have your rioter and can't get any other ones to join you. I think it's viable to get the trophy in those. However this is easy to get on "Tokyo - Chiisana Pati" the second mission. Go all the way to the last flag, but avoid carrying or picking explosives (or send them using L2 before going to the final area. Anny the last guards and return back to where the snipers are. Eject a few guards, then let the snipers eject the majority of your rioters. When there's just one guard, you should have 2 or 3 rioters, let the guard eject all but yours then smash him fast. Seems complicated but I did it first time, it's very easy.

 

Return to sender - This is cumulative and although you'll probably get it along the whole story, it can be farmed easily in the second mission "Tokyo - Chiisana Pati". There's a section halfway the mission that teaches you how to use stomp, where you'll project 2 enemies to mines. Just replay this 3 times, trophy will pop.

 

Freezing cold - This can be done on any mission in Reykjavik where there is a frozen area. Just walk around the area with all rioters they'll all freeze eventually including yours. I did it with almost 30 rioters and it's very easy

 

Close Shave - This is unreliable but the easiest mission to get it are the ones where you have to follow a exploding cart through the map. Enemies will bang the cart instead of annoying you, so when you have the laser head and there's a nice group doing that try to achieve it. It's unreliable but it will work in a few tries. "Miami - The Wrong Stuff" is very good for this.

 

Ricochet pro - This is cumulative, but requires the Ricochet Props power up that it's on the lowest level of the dispenser. Since this power up is  unuseful, leave this one to the end. When you have it equip it and go to "Paris - La Tour Est Vile", which has a lot of rioters and enemies. Just pick a lot of throwables and use them on enemies, trophy will pop in a snap.

So popular! - This is cumulative, but requires the Super Cute Riot power up that it's on the highest level of the dispenser. Since this power up is unuseful, leave this one to the end. When you have it equip it and go to "Paris - La Tour Est Vile", which has a lot of rioters (more than 60 at start which you need to unlock the power up in the mission) and enemies. Just walk around the enemies and they'll have a temporary heart over them. Replay the mission until the trophy pops.  
 
Landing Denied! - There's various kind of flying enemies, one of them is a helicopter that will deploy strong enemies. The probable place to get this will be in "Miami - Hide and Sea". Unlock the gate, then go up, second right, the proceed staright and second left. You'll reach a large area with 2 groups of rioters and a transport helicopter will show up. Eject all enemies along the path (using no explosives if possible) and collect all explosives and throwables you can. Just throw all explosives and everything else you have at the helicopter and it will go down before deploying its troops.
On "Reikjavik - Blautur Bát" if you stomp the giant weight up to a gate near the rightmost flag a landing helicopter will appear and get stuck in the weight, not being able to deploy troops. It will be unreliable but you can kill it this way if you need it. 

Paris - La Tour Est Ville also has 2 of these helicopters in the third phase.

 

Three points! - This needs to be done in "Miami - Hide and Sea". The basketball hoop is to the right of the square where the helicopter was found for the Landing Denied trophy.

 

Fashion Week - This is related to S-Ranks. You'll get a outfit once you S-Rank all missions in a area. Outfits are cosmetic only.

Master rioter - This will be a PITA to get. To achieve S-Rank in a mission you have to S-Rank 2 of 3 requirements:
- finish the mission under a set time
- finish the mission with more than 90% of all rioters you can recruit; if you finish with all possible rioters alive you'll get a flawless rating
- finish the mission with all enemies ejected and destroyed (except snipers); you also get a Pacifist rating and a S if you eject no enemies and finish the mission, but it's only possible in very few missions
If this would require S-Ranks on all 3 at the same time this game would be surely a 12 of difficulty in a scale of 1 to 10. There's missions I'm sure this is completely impossible to achieve (most on the last 2 areas). But yes this is possible on a few missions and you'll get an overall "Super Smashing!" final ran. In the 2 first areas achieving the last 2 is the way to go, but on bosses missions and some in the last 2 areas you'll have to settle with time and enemies, due to how unreliable trying to have all rioters alive is. You'll need a mix of luck, patience and knowledge of the hardest missions.
