Compiled List Of Guides Plus A Small Tip For Million Gold Baby Trophy (some DLC required though)

Recommended Posts

For a trophy guide: https://www.xboxachievements.com/game/the-incredible-adventures-of-van-helsing-3/guide/. Do note that the information listed for the (G)Million Gold Baby  trophy in that guide for equipping all of Katarina's item slots with a Set item doesn't work that way for us PS4 users as it does for the Xbox so disregard the guide author's tip. I have a slight tip of my own for you below, however.

YouTube playlist walkthrough: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0phJgm_2W5XKhy756IEbr7c1DfKN-UAD. I don't know if it's useful as I never used it but I figured I'd link it anyway.

Text Walkthrough with pictures and trophies included: https://www.trueachievements.com/game/The-Incredible-Adventures-of-Van-Helsing-III/walkthrough/4. Again, I don't know if it's useful as I never used it but I figured I'd link it anyway.

Black Widow build for the Demon Hunter class: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=456875086. I stumbled upon this link accidentally while looking for something else. While I didn't think a build guide for this was necessary at all as it was obvious to me how to build my character and how to build a Black Widow (because I usually always play this type of build in other games) I wanted to post this link anyway because maybe it's not that obvious to others and they could use a helping hand.

The author suggests that you put Katarina in Ghost mode. Idiotic suggestion if you ask me. DON'T put her in Ghost mode. You need her to tank for you and draw aggro so you can safely snipe enemies from afar because that's how you're supposed to play a Demon Hunter class. Dumb suggestion as the bullshit he talks about isn't an issue at all if you're properly leveling and gearing her. My Katarina stayed up in the mix, banging it out with TONS of enemies on Fearless and never died once.

"Secrets of the game" as the author puts it: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=450532941Not gonna lie to ya, this guide or whatever it's supposed to be is shit, for lack of a better word. His broken English makes it tricky to understand but that could be forgiven had he actually included every secret there was. He missed a TON of secrets so I guess maybe reference it from time to time if there's something in particular that you're looking for or in need of a puzzle solution and hope that it's mentioned?

Small tip from me in regards to (G)Million Gold Baby: This trophy will be a huge RNG pain in the ass if done without the dupe exploit and bought DLC content from the PSN store. I suggest that you buy the following 2 DLC packs: Artifacts of the Forgotten King and Katarina Epic Item Pack. It'll only set you back 3 bucks... which is a drop in the bucket compared to the headache you'll endure otherwise. Once you out-level these items and equip other items to replace them,  do not get rid of them. Place them in your Storage and leave them be. When you reach character level 30 you'll be able to summon the Pigasus.

Every time I summoned it (which was a lot) it always had Set items. These items are wicked expensive though so I suggest duping your most expensive item to get some gold. For the duping exploit see here: https://forum.psnprofiles.com/topic/102065-duplication-exploit/#comment-2248183. Not everyone will want to cheat though so if you're not going to use the dupe exploit I'd suggest grinding Scenario mode for some gold; you'll need at least 3-4 million, easily. But if you're willing to spend 3 bucks on the DLC listed above all you'll need to buy (unless you've played some Scenario maps and got lucky finding one) is one ring from the Pigasus. When you finally have enough gold summon Pigasus and buy 1 Set ring [green in color] (unless you already found one) and give it to and equip it on Katarina. Go to your Storage, pull out the two weapons and body armor from the Katarina Epic Item Pack and equip them on her. Also withdraw from Storage the ring and necklace you got from the Artifacts of the Forgotten King pack and equip them on Katarina.... (G)Million Gold Baby unlocked.

That's my small tip. It's by far, hands down, the fastest, easiest way to unlock this otherwise RNG-infested headache of a trophy. The Pigasus straight up sucks though, just letting you know ahead of time. When spawned it only ever has a few items for sale and usually all repeat items. I spent hour upon hour summoning it and not once did it ever have anything specifically for Katarina so if you're not planning on buying the DLC than you're in for a looooong RNG grind, my friend (unless you have a horseshoe up your bunghole the size of Texas, lol). The only other thing I can think of is if you have a friend that already has a complete set for Katarina. Technically this would actually be the fastest, easiest way but what are the odds, know what I mean? Furthermore it would have to be set items that your friend found in the game world as the DLC is account bound and cannot be dropped.
