It's widescreen, like the Cannonball engine for Out Run. There is some extra content, namely 2D sprite adaptations of the Virtua Racing arcade tracks, and courses inspired by the other Sega games Super Hang-On, After Burner, and Out Run. No downloads are currently available (and I doubt there will be any), but you can see it in action on Youtube. This looks impressive. Here's the V.R. mode.
