How hard is this game?

How is this game? Any good guides to follow?

Doing a bit of threadnecromancy but after finishing the game I can safely say that 100% on this game is fairly easy and straightforward. 

 

Here is a mini-100% guide: 

 

• Difficulty: 3/10 - The game has no difficulty options but is not that hard once you grasp the controls with the third arm. The game also provides plenty of checkpoints and the bosses are very staightforward with only two to three patterns max. 
• Playtrough: 1 unless you made a mistake on the missible throphies;
• Time: 7-10h; 
• Missible: 4 throphies can be missable but you have to go out of your way to miss them.... These are Mercy, Lover of Weights, Foresighted and Headhunter;
• Funfactor: The game is okay, not fantastic but decent enough. The backgrounds in the game are gorgeous though and it has no bugs or performance issues. Its an ideal game to chill with and complete on a weekend. 

 

General tips: 

- Guns are OP in this game on mobs but don't hurt bosses so don't be afraid to spam them and use up your ammo;

- Apart from the first boss, the Rat, its okay to kill bosses instead of punching them unconscious. You can still carry their bodies for the Lover of Weights throphy;

- You get plenty of credits to buy all upgrades and additional ammo so feel free to be a big spender early on. 

 

Story related throphies: 

- Outcast;

- Revenge;

- The Fall of Icarus;

- True Prophecy.

 

Mercy: In the beginning of the game you are hunting "The Rat" and after defeating the mini-boss (a giant lizard with guns) you will chase him a final time before fighting him. In the fight the boss has 2 bars: a red health bar and an orange consciousness bar. You need to deplete the orange bar by hitting him with your third arm. To replenish bio-energy to do this move, simply parry an attack with triangle. He goes down very easily after a hit of 4 or 5. Don't hit him with your swords too much (square) since depleting the red bar will kill him and void the throphy. 

 

It will hurt: Shortly after the beginning sections of the game, you will kill some time by hunting Basim Salamander. This is just a chase sequence where at the end he will be trapped. Simply hit him with your swords to kill him and nab the throphy, the game will give you a mission failed screen and loads the previous checkpoint. To continue with the game, just hit him with the third arm.

 

Lover of Weights: This is technically missable since you can decide to teleport bosses for a lower reward instead of carrying them to your ship. Simply always pick the option to bring them to your ship. Some bosses are mandatory to be kept alive for the story which means you can't pick the option. You can carry around 6 bosses

Foresighted: The store only allows you to buy two to three ammo packs each time. However you can reset the checkpoint to keep buying and it adds to the counter of the throphy. The best moment for this is after defeating the penultimate boss (its right after the Lover of Weights throphy) since you will get 10 000 credits and the checkpoint drops you right in front of the merchant without having to skip any dialogue. It will only take a minute or two with resetting the checpoint to get to 25 purchases. 

 

Head Hunter: Once you pick up the scanner, simply use it on each enemy to see if he has a bounty or not. You can also scan dead bodies and beam them, they don' need to be alive before the scan. The game has plenty of wanted enemies and you should get the throphy even before the penultimate boss. 

 

Fastest Hand: Simply kill enemies with guns and since they are OP its recommend to use guns as much as you can. You'll get this throphy in the early stages of the game;
