Trophies Popping Without Requirement

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed that the “Stepping Up” trophy (Win all rallies in Career) popped before completing Japan (Or another one) because that’s what just happened to me. I was expecting it to pop at the end of this season when I get to Japan, but it seemed to unlock slightly earlier than it should have.

 

On a side note (and I know its been talked about on other threads) eff that third Anniversary Mode race. LOL. I can’t do it to save my life, but I’ve definitely done more than 12 of them throughout my career, so a bunch are possible. I just can’t seem to get that one down and its super frustrating since you have to beat em in order. Should have been like the challenges. You get a certain medal on it to call it completed and a gold to call it a win.

 

Anyways just wondering about that Stepping Up trophy being weird and others have experienced it or will I get flagged for it kinda thing?

Happened to me as well. Got it when I won ten different rallies, instead of "winning them all". I believe they give it to you once you reach ten wins, so I don't know how "buggy" it is.

That race needs a lot of practice, probably not even worth it. But I got my trophy on the fourth race, so my assumption is you just have to complete 12 of those events, just not diffferent ones. When I got the trophy, I also got an in-game achievement of completing 8 of them, so I do think it might be buggy.

Yeah I know, read all about it. I just hate the car/race combo and I can’t seem to do it. Honestly I havent had problems on 14 of the 20 that I’ve attempted. It’s just bs that you need to do em in order, instead of completing the ones you wanna do.

 

Also thanks a ton for the confirmation about Stepping Up. I also didnt realize there was a Germany event too, until I came across it right after my post. So I hadn’t done that one as well.

I also have come across another issue. I had two legendary crew members with still 12 months left on contract. I was really excited to see another one show up finally in the hire area, then when I rested the next week, my original two disappeared. Is this a common bug or what? I havent seen or read many issues on the topic for WRC 10. I know there was issues with 8 and a little with 9, but any help would be awesome. After I’m done the next few rallies and win the WRC, I dont mind starting a new career and just skipping everything to get those legendary cards if thats what needs to be done.

I really don't know how the crew memebers system work on this game. Last WRC game I played was WRC 8, so a lot has changed. What I did was constantly checking if any legendary appeared on my WRC 2 run, and I actually got it. Did you quit or lose the rally? I do think having a bad result on a rally makes them quit or something.

Yeah, it's weird we don't even get a trophy for winning those (Greece, Belgium, Italy,etc.).

No I didn’t, I actually won and everyone was in good spirits. I also came into the issue during two seasons. The first time was WRC 3 and the second was WRC where it would have an exclamation mark over the crew members section, but no one was leaving nor needed replacing and no new recruits even showed up. Super ridiculous.

 

I almost think its because my contracts expired for them at the same time they were exhausted and it caused a glitch, but I dunno.

 

I loaded my PS5 version to start going through some of that, in the first season that I was just quitting out (Realistic duration) I actually got 4 of them and was in awe. So at least that version is done.

 Italy you get one, but yeah it is super weird. Normally there are ones for those.

 

On a side note to anyone struggling with that stupid 3rd Anniversary Race, I finally did it!!! I ended up using this video as a reference and I skimmed through to the end sections so I knew what times I needed to be where.

 

 

That being said, I also sit around 7 ft away from my 55” but I decided a little pain, a little gain, so I sat around 2 feet away for that race. I also did the PS5 version first since I found it much easier with the better frame rate, so micro adjustments of the car were much easier. That gave me reference for the PS4 version that I also finished. Double WOOT on that!

 

I used the following settings for a PS5 Controller

(Don’t know if a PS4 one makes a difference or not, but I kept the same settings for both runs and it worked)

 

Accelerate:

+7 Sensitivity

0 Deadzone

 

Brake:

+10 Sensitivity

0 Deadzone

 

Left & Right Steering

-5 Sensitivity

12 Deadzone

 

Handbrake

-5 Sensitivity

 

That’s all I changed. I was also in automatic as well and I hope that helps others who have issues with it as well.

Luis you called it bud, 4th one popped it on both for me too. It does pop the accolades for 8 and 12 in game after you complete the 4th one, so its definitely a bug with how the accolades unlock.

So you do gotta beat, at least, the third event (Portugal, Fiat) for the trophy to pop?

 

I did the 4th one (Finland, Ford Escort) and even though I went off track once, I beat the time by 30 seconds. So I guess they really made this third event a living hell, intentionally. 

 

Anyways, congrats. I'd say you just got the plat. The second most annoying trophy is "It's the Taking Part That Counts" for participating in 20 Club games. But it just takes time.

Yeah that third one is absolute bs for time if you're not good with the car. 

 

Also thanks! I popped the PS4 and PS5 plat. Currently working on Stray. Should be done in a couple days (busy with work atm).

 

The 20 club games was super easy. It can be done in 5 days. 4 clubs you're apart of all do a race each day and if you have the ps4 and ps5 version, it can be your main and 1 alt that makes the clubs on both gens since they all show up when you look for em. Also after playing it through, I feel like you could make that trophy your first pop by using alts to create clubs. I could be wrong but its just a thought cause that quickest 100% could be dropped down to a day at most.

Yep. That's exactly what I did at the end. Had some alternate accounts to set every day a new event and then do them on my main.
