Final bell in Ark Revisited level (Klonoa 2)

I'm having such a hard time getting the final bell in the Ark Revisited level in Klonoa 2. It's the one timestamped here:

 

You're supposed to gain extra height using that enemy but after an hour of trying I can't make it. I've also watched another vid where the strat is to jump down from the floor above and get the enemy that way, but same problem there. Often I've noticed that when I grab the enemy it appears in a lower spot than when I first grabbed it... I have no idea how to get the exact timing down for this and it's driving me nuts. I've been stuck on this bell for ages now. It's supposed to be easy using a support jump but I don't have a second PS5 controller

 

Anyone with more help on the exact mechanics of the jump?

I've just done, takes a bit of practice.

 

You have to double jump with the boomie, and right when the double jump starts you grab the elec. That'll give you the height
