JakBrod
I wasn't 100% sure where to post this question, sorry. I finished playing the quarry a while ago and loved it, was wondering how similar/good the dark pictures anthology games were compared to it. queen_malevolent
The Dark Pictures games are very similar to The Quarry. Short answer, if you liked The Quarry, I think you’ll enjoy the Dark Pictures games. DP games are a little different to The Quarry. The Quarry was aimed more at more casual gamers. DP games are a little more video gamey and it’s a lot easier to lose characters which I like personally. The latest one Devil in Me in particular feels a lot more video gamey as they’ve added an inventory and more collectibles etc. But it’s still very movie-esque and narrative driven. I’d say story wise The Quarry has stronger characters than most of the DP games (not including Devil in Me as I’m not far enough in to pass judgement yet). But the DP games have been getting better with each release in my opinion. I’d definitely give them a shot if you liked The Quarry. The first three are often on sale and even if you wanted to jump in and start with Devil in Me it’s not a AAA priced game.
Breakingthegreen
It's worth noting that The Quarry is even closer to Supermassive's first PS4 title, Until Dawn. Both have 8 major playable character, over 10 chapters. Compared to DP's 5 characters over 3 acts.
