Should I attempt to complete MyTeam before MyCareer?

I just got the game yesterday and I was trying to figure out what’s the best way to tackle this grind. I’ve never platinumed a sports game before but I am familiar with the NBA 2K games.

 

I’m just trying to figure out if I have enough time to grind to level 40 and Prestige before the season ends. Would it be better to complete MyTeam first and then MyCareer?

I’d definitely wait for the start of the next season.  This one is well underway.  Give yourself a full season.

Definitely wait for a full season or as close as possible. It's still possible to do now but it will require a ton of unnecessary play time.

Yes. 2K servers normally do not go offline until about 2 years. If you are chasing the platinum, I'd recommend doing all the myTEAM trophies 1st.. 

You'll have plenty time to do myCAREER afterwards.
