IGNORE THE GAME PLANS IN THIS THREAD I'm working on a Trophy Guide for this game, and have a game plan set out. I used a version of this myself when I got my Platinum, but I've refined it a bit. If anyone wants to test this out and can provide feedback or suggestions, I'd appreciate it. This game plan should in theory unlock all of the Aircraft and Weapon presets, the three "aircraft expert" trophies, and the online match trophies efficiently without having to go back to previous modes. It basically goes Campaign --> most Single Missions --> Strike --> Capture Airfields --> Team Battle --> Dogfight --> Training missions, with more specific details below. Don't bother using bombs. You have to dive into them with your plane. It takes a lot of damage. Its been awhile but iirc you have to crash into them at least 6 times. Ah, sorry, should have added this part from my guide: The best method to guarantee destroying a ground target is to land nearby and use your Machine Guns while you're on the ground. The best map to achieve this on is Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi while playing as Team A, as there's solid flat bit of land to the West of the Southern group of targets. It's also recommended that you increase the Time limit for matches to at least 10 minutes if you're aiming to destroy ground targets. Landing can be a bit tricky, but it is possible with a little practice. As you approach from the East with your throttle set to around 50%, drop your altitude to just above the line of trees that are to the East and across the river from the targets. Drop your throttle to around 30% as you fly over the ground targets, then to 20% as you're about to hit the ground, then 0% once you're on the ground (keep pushing to slow down quicker). Once on the ground, carefully increase your speed gradually while turning around and head towards one of the ground targets. Carefully approach a ground target of your choice. It's recommended that you're in Virtual Cockpit view for this part. If you think you're going to crash into something ahead, hold to decrease your speed quickly. Line up your boresight circle so that it is aiming for the very top edge of the ground target i.e. where the wall meets the roof. If you shoot it at the wall dead-on, it's much less effective. Shoot it with your machine gun until it explodes. You'll know it's working if the enemy's ticket counter starts to drop. After it explodes, the number indicating the remaining enemy ground targets should decrease by 1. After a ground target is destroyed, it can be difficult to move to a new one. If your wing even touches a ground target you'll blow up instantly, even a destroyed one. If that happens, you'll just have to land again and repeat the process. Jozxyqk_27 Posted February 11, 2023 Author Share Posted February 11, 2023 I'll add a couple other tips here too, while I'm at it: For Dogfight matches, the best maps are: Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi Ros River Sicily, Providence of Catania On these maps, the enemy player will respawn very close to you, making it even more possible to reach the Score Limit before the 3 minute timer runs out. For Capture Airfields matches, the map "Zavadovka village" is highly recommended while you're aiming for 50 successful landings on Realistic difficulty. The airfield will be almost directly ahead and just below you, so if dive down immediately you can get into a good position to line up for a safe landing. Note that you can achieve multiple successful landings in the same Online match, even at Airfields you've already captured, and with enough practice you can get 2 landings done in a single 3-minute match. For the successful landing on Simulator difficulty, a map such as "Britain" is recommended as it has a long airfield. Will that be enough? Only 1 trophy requires 4 players - Comrade-in-arms. The trophy will only pop for the Host of the match, so you'll have to take turns. You will also have to Invite the two players to your game and have those two select the same team as the host (any mode except Dogfight). If the two players join the match via quick match it won't count. The 4th player joining the match and going on the losing team can safely join via quick search.
