Usually I have to download the game then press X on main menu on it. 

Works most of the time.

Well you need to dance to the music to please the Necrodancer, if you listen to the music it will give you cues when to move. You also need to battle enemies and keep track how many beats they used before they move to you. You do have to be quick because the songs can end, and a trapdoor will open taking you to the next floor, make sure you kill the mini boss if you want to wait for the song to end for a free exit. Each floor has a mini boss that must be killed to continue, not killing it will result in you getting locked in a room with the mini boss and multiple enemies. Once you complete three floors you fight a boss, if you defeat the boss without taking any damage and not missing a beat you get a "Flawless Victory"  which spawns in three chests, open one chest for some free items. The game has four zones you have to complete, each zone will progressively become harder the more you continue. 

 

The game is suppose to be hard once you just started playing, so you need to keep practicing to make the game a lot easier.
