For me it says the new one starts in 2 weeks , which is when the server shutdown happens. There are 2 trophies tied to it. 300 alliance points or whatever it's called ,that pops as soon as you get the points. The other which requires you to be a part of an alliance that gets a badge at the end pops as soon as the season ends. Since the new one STARTS in 2 weeks, I believe it is currently too late to get it for anyone that doesn't have it.
