Street races not spawning

I have only 2 street races that I completed. I slept for 5 days and other races are still not spawning.

Can't you just start a race through Jobs menu? Why do you need them to spawn?

While many people doesn't know about it in this day and age, when developing GTA5 Rockstar hid, as a small easter egg, a single player mode in the game. ?

(sorry HusKy, I just couldn't resist poking a bit of fun at ya)

 

As for the OPs question, I'm not really sure if there's a good way to solve it, but it seems other people are suggesting to make sure you play as Franklin during the right time of day, and some suggest doing strangers and freaks missions or just continue the story. I do remember having some problems getting stuff to appear when I played it (though not the street races) but in the end all of it eventually unlocked throughout the playthrough.

My mind has been completely focused on the MP part of the game for the last few months that I completely forgot about Street Races in SP...
