Omniculture and Driven Assimilator

So like I'm playing the Tebir Homlog, They're a driven assimilator pre set empire one can play as if the Synthetic Dawn DLC is installed. Like I'm pretty sure I have at least 8 different species  (not including the first 2 you start off with.) assimilated into my empire I also have the I thing the Xuracorp within my borders whom can let me rent a govenor for a fee. Will either the assimilated species or the Xuracorp rent-a-governor work for this trophy? If so where do i do this?

Under the covers, the game requires that they be different species. Variants of the same species don't count separately, so if some of them are stacking/indented under one-another, those don't count. You also have to let them become assimilated (they'll have the cybernetic trait). Assimilation takes some amount of time, so letting the clock run for a while may help.

ye, I got the trophy, but it turns out you have to use an empire that has an election (democratic or authoritarian for example) or some kind of succession which leads to another species taking rule  

The driven assimilator, and by extension hive minds and gestalt counciness empires do not have this ability to elect different rulers, since they all share 1 mind
