Why Does My Game Keep Doing This? UGH!

It doesn't happen ALL the type but the fact that it's even doing it at all (when it shouldn't be) is driving me nuts! Sometimes when I press the Options button to pause the game, when I go to resume the game instead of... RESUMING THE GAME... it restarts the fucking checkpoint on me and places me back at my raft with all the progress I made within the map and stuff I've found gone (because the game only ever auto saves when you're coming or going from a map back to your base and vise-versa... and because the developers are IDIOTS for designing their game in such an annoying way). I never once had this issue on the original PSVR version for the PS4. Anyone have a clue as to why it's doing this?
