Easier to interrogate thugs or to follow a guide?

I will most likely start grinding the riddler trophies tommorow, but I am not sure if I want to follow a guide or not. I had already interrogated most of the thugs by the time i finished the side quests in arkham city because there were green thugs in almost every encounter (only had to use a guide to clean up a few), but this didn't happen in this game (I barely have any riddler trophies on the map). 

 

Would it take less time to interrogate thugs (because you obviously have to open your phone over and over again if you follow a guide, which takes some time and it is quite boring), or to follow a guide?

I got through almost all the Riddler trophies just fine without using a guide - I'd just get as many as you can naturally, then use a guide for the rest.

When I played I did follow a guide because there is so many and then with having to figure them all out as well it was quicker to take the shortcut, especially with all the extra content to deal with as well.

I completed after locking up all the great villains (the Penguim locked me from getting one).

Also, remember to enter in all buildings again (Arkhan HQ N and S, Panasea Studios, Big tunnel in the mall, Subway under construction).

I didn't follow any guide, just get all the "green thugs" (also one in the GCPD) and could complete.

I’d say interrogations.

 

The tracking in the game is well done, so any that you are having difficulties with I’d recommend a guide for, but for the rest it seems like it’d be:

 

1) a lot slower using a guide

2) a lot more tedious using a guide (tabbing back and forth) or pausing, watching a video, and then resuming gameplay
