Gathered Power bugged?

Im like 3 days now farming ether chips it's likely not popping up I'm more than 1000 now. Is this glitch or what?

 

I'm doing practice mode repeating stage 5 more more than 500x now getting 16-17 ether chips now am I doing something wrong here?

Only ether chips coming from damaging enemies/bosses with your mana weapons count.

 

Those coming from primary weapons doesn't count towards it.

 

Use Sophia with no customizations stage 5 arcade mode practice difficulty 😉

Thanks bro I got it, I'm not sure but original mode using KEI did worked for me in few minutes.. 

 

I tried the other 2 and I know I exceeded 1000 but it didn't pop up..

 

But I'm glad I got it now after 3 days

So, I experienced getting well over 1000 ether chips as well, BUT I was counting based on the total # of ether chips present on the "results" screen at the end of my runs while grinding, not the individual ether chips I was actually earning through gameplay.

This is absolute facts though^^ -- Even if you start in level 5 with 15 ether chips, those Ether chips don't count towards your total. (Just spelling it out for anyone in the future because I didn't get this.)

 

My most effective runs were using Kei on level 5, spamming L2, sitting in the boss' no damage spot and dying to reset energy levels. It yielded 20+ chips per run, vs the 9-10 I was getting using Sophia's beam power on the same level.
