No Sound in Ratchet and Clank 1 & 2

Anyone else having the same problem?

 

Both 1st and 2nd Ratchet and clank, don't have any sound. 

 

I deleted both games and am currently downloading them again. Will give everyone an update.

Update: Downloaded the game and when it was done.. The icon was blank...

 

It seems that the both Ratchet and Clank 1 & 2 is corrupted on Sony's side.

 

Doubt that they would fix anything though..

So Ratchet & Clank 1,2 and 3 don't have sound.. 

 

If you have the disc version you're unaffected.

Edit: The guide I followed to fix the issue isn't available anymore ☹️.

 

Ubisoft used to have an audio help article on their website to help fix PS3 audio issues in general (obviously not specific to R&C), and I followed the guide in their article to get the audio working again for the PS3 R&C games, but it has since been taken down. I checked the Wayback machine, but no luck.

 

Sorry, I thought I would be able to provide you with the solution I used, but the guide I followed is gone now.

 

There is a way to fix it that involves changing some of the audio settings on your PS3 at the system level, but I don't remember what they are.

 

I did find a guide on Rockstar's website to fix PS3 audio problems, but this is not the guide I used. Maybe it will still be helpful, though:
