BIOHAZARD-R-US
Slay the Spire mod “Downfall” was hacked during Christmas, and was being used to spread malware. The creators of the popular expansion mod have since addressed the security breach, stating the following: ”…someone uploaded a malicious file to the mod, which stayed active for around an hour. Members of the team had their Steam and Discord accounts hijacked, which limited their ability to warn the community quickly. If a player opened the infected mod, they would see a Unity library popup. The malware would try to steal the user’s passwords from their internet browser…” If you were a player around this time frame and saw this Unity pop up, the mod creators are encouraging you to change your passwords and update any personal information necessary. If you did not see the pop up, you should be fine, but being cautious isn’t a bad idea. The mod has since been patched and deemed clean/safe for download and use once again.
