What weapons did you guys use in your first playthrough?

I was rocking the Bastard Sword for a while but I just found the Great Club in Smithing Grounds which seems really good for my build. I typically always do high strength builds in the Souls series so paired with my stats I'm doing quite a hefty amount of damage already. Might end up upgrading this weapon as I really enjoy using it.

 

I'm just curious what everybody found good to use? So far I've enjoyed toying around with quite a few different styles.

On the PS5 version I used Crescent Axe which dropped from a Fat Official, but on PS3 I used Crescent Falchion like many others I imagine.

I started out with the scimitar in the first two levels and then rushed 4-1 to get the Crescent Falchion and didn’t change after that especially because of that A scaling with magic

I too used the Bastard Sword for a while before buying the Claymore which is now at crushing +5. Hits pretty hard!

Gone for the Cresent Falchion and stuck with it until platinum.

But at some point I magiced everything to death.

Crescent Falchion seems like a great weapon for me to check out in the future.

 

Sadly I figured out recently I cannot upgrade the Great Club. Which is a shame. Either way, it's been serving me well up until now. Just got to figure out what wepaon to switch to now.

I was using the great axe as a hunter and upgraded it to a +6. But I just found the dragon long sword in 2-2 and switched to that for non fire enemies.
