Game is crashing more and more

Ever since the latest update, the game has been crashing more and more. I’ve got the auto save turned off, and I’ve been manually saving every 20-30%. Today was the worst offender though, as the game shut my PS5 off completely. I started playing on the Ferris Wheel at 47% completed, and saved at 69% (nice) and 88%. The system powered off as soon as I hit 98%, and turning it back on did the system restore. Rebooting the game, I was created with an infuriating 47% completion of the Ferris Wheel. My 2 saves during that hour and a half play session were gone. I’ve lost about 7-8 hours of play time to these crashes. I’m tired of it. It seems like this has been a major issue since the game’s launch. How has this not been addressed yet?

Yeah, the bigger levels are near unplayable since the update. Doing the final level after getting that patch was awful. The only saving grace is that it the auto save is really good, so you wouldn't lose much progress when it did crash.

I’ve heard that the auto save makes things worse, especially for the Dave file size. Auto save triggers every 20% of the level, and I was trying to manual save every 20-30%
