Does difficulty affect turret sections?

A couple of trophies require you to beat the turret sections with at least 50% shiields remaining. Does difficulty affect these sections? 

For example, do shiields receive less damage while playing on Easy?

From what I remember, those sections were a PITA on all difficulties, regardless of which one I was on at the time.
