Does anyone know if they will eventually help the vita register 2 accounts

It's a pretty tedious process but it can be done with two separate memory cards.  Turn off Vita --> remove memory card --> turn Vita on --> format Vita --> insert second memory card --> restart Vita is the process I believe.  I know someone who does it and they say it's a major pain, they only do it when they know they'll be playing Japanese games on that account for at least a few days.  Too tedious to do often.

I bought a second Vita specifically because I got tired of doing that, but that isn't exactly an ideal solution either

Sadly I don't think it's going to happen, around the time the Vita was released Sony specifically stated they intended for it only to be used by one person/one account so they're not likely going to change the way the account system works.
