cdrcouey
There's a fascinating article on Kotaku covering events within Bungie studios from circa summer 2013 up to the Taken King release. Jason Schreier elaborates on the shift from DLC releases to periodic content supported by microtransactions that Kotaku originally reported on regarding the Eververse Trading Company. Given the research he had already done in preparation for this article, his comments at the time (seemingly unsupported and out of context) now carry a bit more weight in my eyes. He also hints at a bit of the content under development for Destiny 2, which was re-purposed from the original design for vanilla Destiny. I'll let the article handle the details, but this was the most complete telling of the tumultuous situation that Bungie has and continues to operate within. It's a really interesting read. http://kotaku.com/the-messy-true-story-behind-the-making-of-destiny-1737556731

spacemonkey3k
Makes sense. I stopped playing Destiny for months since the old vanilla version was so boring and pointless. It's made good progress since then but I'd still like to see the originally planned version that was scrapped.
FlareXV
I think around 10 to 16 million people brought this game in 2014, Wow!
