Confidence Man quest glitch.

Save before the bar fight in this quest. 

 

This is the quest where you are supposed to make Travis a better radio host, but there is some glitches. There is a bar fight in this quest. You fight two enemies, you have to kill later in the quest. In the bar fight the enemies won't die they just sit down on the floor for a moment and then leave. Later in the quest when you have to kill these enemies. But when they are empty for health they sit on the floor for a moment and gets up again. Since you can't kill these enemies you can't progress in the quest. When your own health gets empty it just fill up again like it does with the enemies.

 

Negative things about this glitch.

• Travis will always follow you.
• You are invincible since the game think you still are at the bar fight.
• Quest cannot be finished.

 

How fast does Bethesda patch things like this? Should I reload my save from 2 days ago, or should I wait for a patch.

I personally didn't run into this glitch, and was able to complete the quest (so far, "Trouble Brewin'" is the only quest that's glitched for me, but there's no trophy related to it). If you have a save, you can try reloading it and see if that fixes it. That often works in Fallout games.

If you finish that game with only one glitched, unfinishable quest, you are doing well. Bethesda fames are fantastic and broken. Thats just the way it is. There are lotsof other quests. Dont get hung up on this one.
