GLITCHED TROPHY???

I just want to notify anyone who wants to attempt the platinum so late in the day, that the trophy "Tengu Friend" is STILL glitched and never got patched

That trophy popped for me just fine when I played the game. Never had an issue with it.

How could it be still glitched when I got it normally 2 years ago?

Did the game get some patch?

You have to get all the tengu in a single playthrough. If you miss even one, you can't just go back into chapter select and get the remaining one.

 

You have to go through the game again. So I don't think the trophy was ever glitched per se, just maybe the trophy description was not clear enough.

If you replay flooded valley and you still haven't got the trophy, the game registers the level as if you didn't do the tengu quest in that level. Quest that you can't do again since the tengu is gone (because you already have the rod).

This is the glitch and the only solution they found in eight years is to remove the save file and restart the game.

It's a late reply but just wanna put this out there: I replayed several levels before I got the trophy and it popped just fine. The only thing you'd want to avoid is replaying any of the levels with quests in them and not finishing the quests in your final playthrough as the game probably uses this last playthrough as a reference for the trophy.

Which is why you should probably avoid replaying flooded valley altogether, at least untill you get the trophy.
