Popular Post Golem25
What an incredibly apt title for this Trophy; pretty much the only word I could think of when I finally clinched it. Pretty ridiculous requirement, single-handedly bumped up the difficulty from 2/10 to a 5/10 IMHO. Level ten would have been quite manageable and reasonably fair on players, but it is what it is. Let this thread be an impromptu guide for your quest to achieve Finally!; do please bump it if my writings helped you out, and by all means, do please share your grievances with this Trophy. The Guide Whispers speak of various songs that allow you to reach Level 15 on Normal. Rest assured that these rumours are true, but please note that just one song truly is doable for those of us who aren't rhythm game-Gods. A quick overview of the context for the various modes None of the songs on Easy will get to 15 even if done 100% perfect (Rin goes up to 14; close, but no cigar) Four of the songs on Normal allow you to reach 15 - Yomi; heartily recommended as it is the most lenient with its notes, speed, and pattern - punishing still, but nowhere near as bad as the others - Daidouji; your Ninja Art level can go up to 16 here, but the song will crunch your balls all the way to the finish - Rin; can go up to 19, but again, you will get pubstomped from start to finish - Miyabi; this is probably the worst out of this quartet; you are allowed just ONE (1) less than Perfect note to reach 15. Yomi allows you a boatload of 'Goods' in comparison All songs on Hard allow you to reach at least Lv. 16 (if you hate your life, try to perfect Rin seeing as hers goes up to a whopping 25!) It is true that Daidouji and Rin are DLC characters (you'll need their DLC pack for Estival Versus in order to make them available for Free Mode), but you can access one or both of them and their songs without too much hassle; Daidouji is the first opponent in Hikage's story, whereas Rin is the first hurdle for Ryona (who herself is Gessen X Hebijo DLC) in her campaign. You'll have to spam Circle and Start through the story dialogue to get to these songs quick, and will want to hit Start and select Retry if you are playing their songs and about to pass without hitting Level 15 (otherwise you will be forced into the second battle). I strongly suggest to check them out on Normal just once to make yourself more appreciative of Yomi existing. Now, onto the Tips & Tricks section; this has been specifically written with Yomi's song in mind, as this is simply by far the easiest of the four eligible songs on Normal for most people. Plenty of Trophy Hunters will have struggled with Finally! in their time, and many more will in the future - let's make sure your struggles will be rewarded with a nice silver Trophy rather than an eternal 97% on your list; Yomi on Normal really is the easiest way to get Finally! You will want to hit every single note perfectly up to the point where you can trigger your Ninja Art (24 notes into the song) -I found that it has to be triggered as early as possible (there's even a conveniently placed pause in the button prompts for you to trigger it, if you managed to Perfect every note up until then) - For reference, you will want to trigger it following three Squares and a Left, as there is a break before the game throws a Down and three Circles at you - If you mess up and don't Perfect every note up until that point, consider your current attempt a practice run, as you won't be getting the Trophy (unless you Perfect every single note afterwards) You will want to hit Level 6 right before Hanzō tastes the second dish (end of Phase 2) - if you are more than one Ninja Character off, you probably won't hit Lv. 15 by the end If there is a particularly tough section that trips you up with various different direction/face buttons needed to be pressed in a really short amount of time, don't be afraid to press them immediately after one another just to make sure you get them - you're allowed to have (just) a couple of 'Bad' notes. One section where you may want to do this is at a Left and Right clumped together in Phase 3. The 'sweet spot' for the game to recognize your input as okay is pretty large compared to other rhythm games Never abort or start over your run past the first 24 notes (all of which you need to hit Perfectly to trigger your Ninja Art as early as possible) - Muscle memory and experience is a large factor in getting through the whole song unscathed - You'll know you are getting to a good place when you can do the first 24 notes by heart - Phase 3, which will trip you up the first X (large number for most mortals) runs through, gets exponentially easier the more often you play it, so never abort Completing the song, however terrible your performance was, counts towards the grindy Trophies for 200 Songs, 500 Ninja Arts, 100 Specials, and 10 million Points. You'll need to play a 100/150 (dependent on whether you have the Gessen X Hebijo DLC) songs outside the story anyway, and completing Yomi's song ad nauseam is a convenient way to get there while going for Finally! Stretch your fingers & empty your mind when Hanzō appears; you want your digits nice and spry for the next Phase, and averting your gaze saves you from the old man ruining your big tiddy ninja bliss Mash like crazy when you run into Mash sections (a Square and Circle at the end of Phase 2, Cross and Down in Phase 3) - finishing it early allows you to regain composure and pause your mind for a sec. You don't have to hit the Heart & trigger the Smut scene in Phase 3 - it does not impact your score (but triggering it will count towards Harem of A Hundred!). If you feel like oggling Yomi, use Circle so as to prepare for the next button prompt (another Circle) Do not overthink; it seems as though focusing on the game too much causes butterfingers in many people; try to let your mind wander whilst your fingers work on auto-pilot Do not fear Phase 3; it trips up many people and gave me palpitations during the first few times I reached it with my Ninja Art still alive, but be okay with making mistakes; at worst you lose three minutes of your life to an imperfect run that serves as extra practice Do not be afraid to put in extended sessions; it's better to have at it for an hour than give up after three tries; repeating the song in quick succession gives your (muscle) memory a temporary boost! Do the math; at the time of writing, 4,518 out of 13,176 game owners have achieved Finally! That's 34.29 percent (making Finally! only the 7th rarest Trophy in the game)! None of those people did it with this guide, so if they can make it, you can too! A trick that you could use if you feel like it (I didn't and still got Finally!); lock yourself in a room and play nothing but Hard songs - these are brutal and may make Yomi's on Normal easier once you acclimatize to the higher difficulty level. You will get this Trophy done; it may take ten tries or thirty, but you will get there. I think that's all the advice I can give you at the moment, although I will continue to experiment and update the above listing based on further experiences and tips from fellow community members. Do please let me know if it was helpful, bump the thread, and call me out on anything I got wrong! Edited July 15, 2020 by Golem25

hasiris
Thanks, I did it after almost 20 tries. I dont know who the hell tought that this is a 2/10 difficulty game. I would give a 3,5 or 4 over 10 only for that trophy because is a pain.

Bizzy_Montana_
Thank you for the guide! The trophy is definitely challenging but with a bit of patience and a rough idea regarding how phase 3 plays out (due to the notes which are being held) it seemed rather doable to me. I didn't play the first 24 notes perfectly, got a few more "greats" instead of "perfects" and got to level 15 on the last 2 or 3 notes. Having been concerned about the difficulty (after I recently had realised that Taiko Drum session has been way too hard for me), I am grateful for your tips on how to make life a bit easier when going for this trophy.
