How to set up a server to boost trophies?

So I and my group are boosting online trophies, mostly DLC but some of them will also grind ribbons for the plat as well. I've read that you need 4 people for pretty much everything and 5 for one ribbon. But how can we start a rented server so we can start a game with just the 4 of us? 2 weeks ago we rented a server for a day but couldn't change much so we had to wait for a random to show up on our Gun Master server and after the game had started, we kicked him out. Some tips would be much appreciated. Also, when we rent a server, can we easily change the maps and game modes? Like, set up Scavenger to start boosting Xbow, then go to CQ to boost kills and XP at the same time?
