Can't get "Already in Progress"

I follow guides but the option to continue on never happens, just takes me back to the main menu. I see people still achieving it so there must be a way - anybody able to enlighten me on how to do it? Thanks!

I just got the trophy- I think it has to be the "featured game" not a custom one. I selected the Super Bow Game, did a super-sim until the end, selected finish game, and then I got a screen to continue the next week as a new season. The trophy popped when it advanced to the start of the next season. Hope this helps!

Hi, I'll give that another few go's. I'd done that previously and it just took me back to the main menu but seems like just gotta keep trying. Thanks!

One more thing I thought of- I did select a team when starting the game, not cpu vs cpu. Not sure it matters but just want to be sure it isn't something silly like that keeping you from the trophy.

Did it right after this and it didn't work, tried again, and it did. So finally got there! Random issues I had but got there in the end, thanks for the help!
