Tips for Alien Breed 2: Assault

Combining MP trophies or doing them separately in multiple runs, tips by @ZEUS_OfThe_AEGIS

First off, it's a bad idea to go for Indestructible and Lazy at the same time, even though it may sound sensible, believe me it's highly impractical.

Lazy will unlock for BOTH the host and the partner as long as one of them did not fire any weapon or get killed. The reason why you can't do both trophies at the same time is because sometimes the one who's doing all the killing will get overwhelmed, and when that happens he can at least get behind you to heal and recoup for a bit as you melee the aliens. Indeed, meleeing (punching with circle) enemies does NOT void the Lazy trophy! But this does mean that you take damage which voids Indestructible.

You can combine Hoovering Up with Lazy BUT only the one doing the killing will be picking up items & ammo so you have to redo it for the other.

Hoovering Up and Indestructible are the only trophies which do not unlock for both players if only ONE of the players meets the requirements, they have to be met specifically by the player that wants to obtain the trophy. Unless you and your partner are godlike in this game then it's not possible for both to go through the level without taking any damage, even WITH Hardened Armor on.

Which brings me to Indestructible, you absolutely NEED the Hardened Armor to not take damage to your actual health bar and there are 3 armors scattered around the level. What makes it easier is if you both are killing aliens while the one who is going for Indestructible activates the Hardened Armor, stands behind and does not get touched, he STILL needs to help with the killing by shooting which basically voids Lazy. But that'll make things go by much smoother, and needless to say you'll have to redo it for the other player.

If you think you can combine both Lazy and Indestructible by having the player who is not firing or dying pick up the Hardened armor so as to not take any damage either then, well that means the player doing all the work and killing will be completely alone with no back up whatsoever, not even Hardened armor, this is why they cannot be combined.

SAVE ALL OF YOUR STUN GRENADES as they will make the last section of waiting for the elevator a whole lot easier by stunning the swarms of aliens and giving you breathing room. It's not important to kill all the aliens at the last section, you just need to run inside the cargo elevator as soon as the countdown ends and the door opens for the level to finish. So save the stuns for this part.

Doorway exploit, by @ryuji_sakujo

If the trophy you're going for allows one of the players to die, then you can use an "exploit" in the game,

which allows one of the players to stand in a doorway, has to be one of those that are small but just wide enough for a player to pass through, they open and close as you approach them.

Block one of these doorways, aliens won't be able to reach the player behind the guy who is blocking, and when the blocking player dies his corpse will block enemies as he is respawning.
The other player can shoot over his corpse and kill aliens, or just stay out of harms way.

NOTE: This trick should work in all Alien Breed games (AB1: Impact, AB2: Assault, AB3: Descent)

( I didn't invent this trick nor was I the first one to discover it, I learned it from a boosting partner. It's useful enough to be added here )
