Seamndel
An SSD upgarde is already underway, but several questions have come to mind: First, is it correct that content stored on an HDD/SSD will only work on the PS3 system whence it had been downloaded? Second, assuming all content has already been downloaded to an HDD once, would redownloading the same content again on a SSD present any problem when it comes to game licenses? Thirdly, would a new drive require a subsequent user activation, or deactivation of other Playstation system, to make room among the number of activated system slots allocated to evevry PSN user? SnowxSakura
It will be treated as if you factory restored the drive. You can use the ps3 backup utility to copy your entire hard drive and then restore it onto the ssd. You may have to use a usb stick to reinstall the current OFW, as I had to when I upgraded to an SSD
