The Wedge easy skip!

For the people trying the speedruns for this game this might help. If youget the staircase from the miniture house return back to the main marquette. Then make the staircase as big as possible and put it in front of the church. Then climb up and jump on a ledge to the right of the church where there is a hole in the wall. Then jump into the church, skip the cutscene. Once you are done climp on the chandelier under the whole you came into the church and keep jumping against the wall till you jump out. then go to the marquette and click on the bell. This can be done in arround 3 min instead of the usual 7-8 min.

Looks like they've patched this. It's no longer possible to position the staircase so that gap is there, and if you drop down, it forces you wide.

Still works as of today. The gap is now too small to fall through, but you can still drop off on the edge of the gap (walk backwards off of it, as soon as you start dropping, press forward and you will land on the lower ledge of the stairs.

 

From there you can jump into the church as shown in the video.

 

Another note: You need to walk to the door on the inside to start the cutscene. I jumped into the church 3 times and I couldn't ring the bell before I found that out. Still managed the speedrun trophy though
