Popular Post fisty123
EDIT: Formatting and spell check stopped working, I will fix later I need sleep While playing this game I received a couple of messages on PSN asking for trophy help or what is the game so I thought it be easier to do this. Please note this is not a trophy guide as a trophy guide would have the map layouts, boss help and so on.What is Märchen Forest? Märchen Forest is three games/chapters in one title, all three chapters play very different, a quick google search will tell you the game length is 8-15 hours however this wrong, a lot of reviewers who played this game on the Switch/PC played the unfinished version as it was released without the third part to start with.Chapter 1: Märchen Forest: Mylne and the Forest Gift This chapter is a basic/cute collect items by doing mini tasks/talking to people, this section is only 1-2 hours long depending on how you play it and may scare some people away as the gameplay is not what is advertised in most gameplay videos but it sets up what is to come with the story linked to this chapter.Chapter 2: Märchen Forest: Mylne and the Strange Cavern This is where the gameplay most were expecting kicks in, The game is a dungeon explorer RPG with a unique ATB battle system, you need to pass each floor and there is a boss at the end of every section, There is a standard HP bar but there is also a food bar which goes down while you move, once it hits 0 it then starts to eat your HP until you die, there is traps, puzzles and hidden areas like most of these games. This section is around 6-15 hours depending on your style and trophies which I will get to shortly.Chapter 3: Märchen Forest: Requiem of the Astral World This is where you will spend the bulk of the gameplay and what is missing from most current reviews and gameplay videos, This is like chapter 2 but much more advanced and a hell of lot harder then chapter 2, you will die in this area unless you are prepared, Ie the food system drains at a massive rate, there are much more traps and almost all the chests are locked or have a trap on it. The stages are longer but this gameplay was rewarding to play it was just more a learning curve.Missable Trophies This game has missable trophies. I wish I had of known this before hand but ah well.Chapter 1: Märchen Forest: Mylne and the Forest Gift This section has one missable trophy which is Universal Truth, Make sure to get this trophy before you create the third and final item.Chapter 2: Märchen Forest: Mylne and the Strange Cavern This section has three missable trophies which are: Wealth of Knowledge, Relics Collector and Remnants and Shadows. Make sure to have these trophies before you beat the final boss on the third floor, a good cutoff area would be a locked door where Mylne mentions that she has go back to camp. Chapter 3: Märchen Forest: Requiem of the Astral World This section has one missable trophy which is Long-Standing Grudge. This is a very hard trophy to miss but the it requires you to beat a Mimic, you know them fake monster chests that show up in a lot of RPG games, the reason why it's missable is unlike chapter 2 in chapter 3 when you open a chest it does not come back when you revisit the dungeon again. So if you managed to open all chests and got killed each time then its missalble but the post game dungons have a large amount of mimic chests and at this stage are normally easy to beat. How to unlock certain trophiesUniversal Truth: While collecting items you will be given a shiny rock, you need to place this on the platform up the mountain to the left of the map, when you do the game will tell you to go to bed in your house, you will wake up in the middle of the night, go back to this location to engage in a fight you need to win. The battle system in this is basic and no other fight in the game is like this.Wealth of Knowledge: On floor 3-4 is a locked room you need to open this door or for the trophy, to get the key for this room you need to fall down a hidden pit hole on floor 2-1 (its ok you can go back) Once you fall down follow the little puzzle until you see the single chest in this area, the key is in the chest. If you break the chest by trying to pick the lock its ok it will come back on your next visit.Remnants and Shadows: At the start of floor 3-1 you will get an option of left or right, if you go right you will fall down a hidden hole to a level 99 boss, this boss is easy but if it lands a hit you will lost a lot of HP, you can come back to this boss at any time as long as you don't beat the normal boss on floor 3.Relics Collector: You need to fill the Relic book by collecting one of each relic, you get relics from chests, monsters, bosses and pots, but you won't know what ones you get until it gets apprised at the shop. Good thing is the RNG system is at the shop not when collected so before you get a batch apprised save the game, if you don't get any new ones then reload and try again. Remember this needs to be done before you finish chapter 3, don't do what I did and have to spend another 10 hours on a new file.Dream Chaser: On floor 5-5 there is a pirate den, speak to the leader who is located at the top right of the area map, on floor 5-10 there is a swtich that looks like a pirate ship wheel which is inside a room, push this switch. walk outside and you will notice water flower from the mouth on the left walk to the edge for a scene to start. Follow the rest of this side event for the trophy. (There is a same style switch on 5-1 but I am not sure if this is needed for this trophy or not.)Long-Standing Grudge: Mimics are everywhere, when you use the remove trap skill sometimes it will fail and a message will come up saying you think the chest moved, this is a mimic save the game before taking one. However there is so many of these and the game even has a side task to die on one so its ok to die I did on heaps and the post game every 2-3 chests was a mimic.Guider of Souls: I think this is story based but when you enter a floor sometimes text will show at the bottom of the screen saying you can hear Lethe's performance in the distance, this means she is on this floor and you need to find her. The reason why I think its story linked is at times you will be blocked by tentacles, this means you need to back track and find her as she gives you items to remove these.Basin of Fate: These are warp points found in chapter 3, there are on the main path but are on the following floors in case one is missed: Spoiler Entrance (Chapter 3 starting room) 4-4 Bridge to the Citadel 4-5 Assassin's Den 5-1 Undead Citadel 5-6 Undead Citadel 5-12 The Outcast's Home 6-1 Bloodstained Laboratory 6-6 Wreckage Interior There is also one on the final floor next to the final boss but this is not needed for the trophy Straight Flush: This is random drop on the boss of the first post game area. It took me 7 runs to get this dropBack in Time: You need to level up the weapon "Decrepit Remnants" to rank 10 for it to evolve into Yggdrasill, to get the material needed for the final few ranks they are a common item in boss tombstone 3, they can be found on the rocks in there and you can exit the area without having to fight the boss by talking to the gravestone at the start.Access to Post Game Areas This is not really explained so view the below spoiler, spoiler as it will list final boss names and locations Spoiler Once you beat Rosetta her tombstone boss will be available, go into this area and go to the cave on the left you notice there is a light, walk in and collect the book. Take this book to the outcast on floor 5-12 and he will give you a flute, exit this house and walk down until you see a round circle. Play the flute while standing on this circle to summon a boss, beat this boss and it will give you tombstone 4 which is the first post game area. To access the second go to the top right of floor 6-3 and there will be an invisible floor going to the right walk on this until you see the same round circle, play the flute, beat the boss and the final tombstone will active. Side note to finish the second area you will need a key with earned when you beat the first post game area. Sorry, was not on the forum much this week, The first part of the game has a steam walk-through (Wish I seen this before I did those missables) It lists step by step what needs to be done for that section.https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1916216165

roxas5507
The Basin of Fate trophy might be missable. I havent got it yet eventhough all the wrap points has been activated. I think the problem is that i didnt activate the first one (chapter 3 entrance) instead it got activated when i use the homesick item from other warp points. Any thoughts?
