Popular Post diskdocx
Picked this up in the recent sale for $5. Really enjoyed Dustoff 2, so thought I'd give this a go. Not quite the same format, but some similar features. There's not much info out there on this game, so I thought I would leave a few tips to help those that come along later. Overall you are looking at a fairly short and easy plat. I would say about 5 hours, 3/10 There are 31 levels and you need to complete them all. Level 30 is the last of the main campaign, with level 31 unlocking once you complete the Alman-o-tronic (more on this later) The game does a good job of easing you in to the mechanics, and you'll earn about half of the trophies in the first few levels just for learning the ropes. Nothing is missible and there is no grind. There are 3 difficulties, but you can go ahead and play on Normal and complete the campaign that way. You will earn coins and upgrade parts and rations as you play levels. These can be used to purchase choppers and gunners, and to upgrade them. I would suggest upgrading the first 2 gunners you get and the first chopper fully to get you through the first few levels. You may need to replay a few levels to farm. There is also a daily challenge that seems to always be the same, and is very easy to complete all 4 challenges - this will give you 1400 coins which is a huge boost that you can get very early on. Once you are about 1/3 of the way through the game, start to pay attention to the Alman-o-tronic. Basically this tracks your progress killing enemies. As you progress you will complete categories and earn bonus unlocks - this includes choppers and gunners, and they are much better than your standard progression unlocks. Ultimately you need to fully complete the Alman-o-tronic anyway, so this isn't going to slow you down. The Quadrotor chopper is probably your best all round flying machine, and it is fully upgraded once you get it. It lets you carry 4 gunners and does a lot of melee damage. Add the chaingun to the nose, and the Tallahassee and Zombinator gunners (these are all Alman-o-tronic unlocks) and you have a solid load out that should carry you easily through the last half of the game There's not much to add in terms of strategy - each level has an objective (or several) - focus on those while killing whatever gets in your way. You do not need to kill everything, but you shouldn't avoid zombies either. Ultimately you will need to kill 1000, but this should come naturally. And don't just use your weapons. Your choppers deal a ton of melee damage, so flying in low and sweeping across a swath of zombies is a highly effective strategy to clear them out quickly. In the latter levels, this is a must, and remember that many of them drop health and ammo refills, so get in there and get dirty and use the refills to offset incoming damage. While there are 3 stars for each level (completion, time and no deaths), you do NOT need to 3 star them for any trophy purposes. You probably will 3 star most anyway, and can always replay any level if you want to get all 3 stars - you will need some of the coins and upgrade parts/rations to max out your chopper/gunners - but don't go out of your way as you really don't need to upgrade everything. You have to buy all choppers, but don't need to fully upgrade more than one chopper and one gunner for trophy purposes. One last note, that isn't really explained - there are 7 lieutenant zombies in the game. These are just unique zombies that are harder to take down. They are bigger than standard zombies, and you will need some extra firepower to take them down. You won't have to go out of your way to find them, none are in obscure locations, but you may not know you've killed them, and the game doesn't tell you what you have to do with them after taking them down. In order to unlock their entries in the Alman-o-tronic, you have to winch them up and drag them back to your starting base - just like with the boss zombies. Killing them alone isn't enough to unlock the entries. There is a very good guide here for any you miss - https://steamcommunity.com/app/1277840 Now, once you have completed all 30 levels on normal, and have fully filled out the Alman-o-tronic, you should have all the choppers and miscellaneous trophies. The last 3 will be for completing the game on the 3 difficulties - Normal, Hard and Epic Go ahead and play level 31 on Normal - it's tougher than the first 30 levels, but shouldn't give you too much grief. Once you complete it, you will need to replay on Hard and on Epic. Difficulties do NOT stack. Furthermore, you don't need to complete all 31 levels on each difficulty, just the last one. So the best path is 1-31 on Normal, then 31 replayed on Hard, then on Epic. Hard and Epic will challenge you a bit, but you can save mid level at any landing pad, and can revive once for 50 coins - I would save that for the last boss battle, as it is easy to run out of ammo since it takes a lot of damage. If you die en route to the boss, don't continue but rather select load and it will put you back to the last landing pad where you saved. So, there you go - overall a fairly quick and easy plat. Probably not worth full price, but I had a lot of fun for $5. Shouldn't challenge you too much, but doesn't hand you the plat just for showing up either. Really nothing that needs a detailed guide, the above tips should get you through. The most useful parts to pay attention to are the Alman-o-tronic, in particular the Lieutenants, and the ability to pop the difficulty trophies just by replaying level 31.
