Not meant for me but yes this works and for pretty much every trophy. It also works if the trophy has already been earned but a save was made right before then you invite the person and fulfill the requirement again. Me and my friend did the entire game in co op while getting as much as we can but then decided to each work on separate trophies we had remaining because of longer loading screens and frequent disconnects. Still don't have the platinum cause I can't be arsed with a complete run just for collectibles but we did get several trophies by making saves and inviting each other.
