Last Man Standing

So for the Last Man Standing trophy, how exactly does it work, i started a ng+ hard for the speedrun trophy and i died to the 3rd colossus i loaded a backup save after and my death count still increased by 1, should i just try it in easy or what?

Maybe the game still counts deaths even if you use backup save.I am not sure about that.Play on easy or even of normal.After a bit of experience it shouldn't be much of a problem.You will need a lot of run to reach max stamina and max health.Just use them as a training and go for last man standing later.

So what was the solution? Just played it in the NG+, did not die but trophy did not pop. Does it have to be a brand new game? Counter says I have deaths from my initial run. 

 

Edit: Nevermind. Trophy popped. Description said it would pop after defeating the last colossus but it popped after the end credits. Thanks.

what was your fix? Did going back to an old save work?

Have the trophy now, confirming it unlocks by reloading to a previous save if you die. Deaths are tallied to profile save, not playthrough save.
