Servers down?

Hi, was boosting this game today and then in the middle of a match I got the message "Game session failed to initialize", and it booted me out. Now, whenever I try to make a new game, it says "Failed to creat game session". I couldn't find anything on the Capcom or RE twitter about this and have seen no one else mention this, so I was wondering if maybe this is them closing the servers without any notice? I hope not.

nvm was able to start a new game. But, this has definitely put a fire under my ass now.

I don’t know anything about this, but I think it’s very unlikely that they would just shut down the servers for a popular game so abruptly without any advanced notice. It’s likely just a temporary issue.

My Internet was down for about 80 minutes earlier and for no reason. Perhaps a part of the Internet died somewhere and affecting a ton of stuff for a while. Just try again later.

Just because you got booted and couldn't create a new game doesn't mean the servers were just shut down. Try again later.

 

For the PS3 servers that are still up, it's not like they are being maintained anymore. (IMO) They are either just left on, or are P2P. I predict we will see a steady degradation of servers in the relatively near future. All PS3 games should be prioritized if you care for the online trophies.
