Popular Post Kryptic_NiNjA_
First off I just want to say it is a great game and CAN be a lot of fun, however it can be a bit of a pain if you have bad rng. I personally had a hard time with a giant Kirin and mini Nergigante. I was playing Monster Hunter World on the PS5 and it runs great. Can definitely tell a difference in quality and loading times. But enough about that, I was able to get the platinum trophy in 151 hours game time and this is how: Play with friends or join a group on here as much as possible When going for crowns for the normal monsters (all except elders and black diablos) farm the 5 monster events, i personally did one after the other then repeat. The only regular monster i used an investigation for was giant Tobi Kodachi after 70 kills Lunastra, Deviljho, Zorah Magdaros and every blue ! event monster(Witcher & Final fantasy, etc) is not needed for the crown trophies Take advantage of the tailrider safari in your room when you unlock it, put your best to the area that you want to farm crowns on and pick a,b or c with the one with most monsters for that area since it will give 5 investigations after you finish 5 quests Early game, defender armor and weapons are your best friend, i personally didnt change out of them until around HR50 While leveling up kill everything if you can, get used to all monsters abilities and moves, once you start to remember how they act it makes it much quicker to kill and land lethal attacks When you come back from a quest pet poogie and hit circle when the ! pops up. Pick up poogie and walk in the tradeyard for a couple items, i believe theres 5 or more areas there that give different items Silver and gold investigations are your best bet with crowns, I didnt get any crowns with any inestigations that had a bronze in it Clean up your investigations when you notice your getting close to the limit, don't want to miss out on some for monsters you need crowns on Have fun, use whatever weapon you're comfortable with, every weapon has its pros and cons Immunity mantle works great against Val Hazaak from the efluvium( probably spelt wrong) and Kirins lightning to not get stunned Be sure to set items to radial menu for every occasion to not waste time stocking up before leaving for quests (I wasted hours probably) Keep extra flashbugs, trap materials and dung pods, and cool drinks for elders recess in your items at all times, trust me it comes in handy Always eat before a quest, i personally always chose the chefs choice platter because i preferred the extra health + stamina and mostly defense boosts is what i received When sizing monsters that usually attack on sight, use ghillie mantle and redpits to lure them to a flat area. Shoot the redpits on the ground in front of them and lead where you want them to go to. Thus giving you a chance to size that way on the flat area or use the shocktrap method Iceborne weapons and armor and insanely strong against MHW monsters, so if you have iceborne its probably best to do iceborne when you can and then come back to MHW Earplugs are your best friend against normal monsters, but useless against elders (unless you have Iceborne gear) the screeching is the most broken mechanic in the game Be sure to fully level up your weapons and armor at the smithy (I didn't even know you can level up armor for the longest) it can be pricey but its well worth it Speaking of weapons and armor, be sure to add an augment on each from the smithy, I personally liked the health regen on my weapon since i always tended on going for full combos and got hit a lot JUST HAVE FUN. If you're dreading the game, don't be afraid to step away from it for a few days or longer. Just some inital things I recommend. So in my experience I loved the game. Was it repetitive? Sure, but it only really hit me on my last 4 crowns. I played this game for a month straight, 6 days a week. It took me 331 attempts to get a mini Nergigante and 218 for giant Kirin, so yes it got repetitive but it made that platinum trophy that much sweeter. I know a lot of the tips listed above are written everywhere but trust me all of it helps. So all in all, don't give up, don't stress and just have fun. Make friends on here or even from random matchmaking lobbies. Monster Hunter World has had the best community that I've ever played in, every random person i met was always willing to help in some way or was wanting to keep playing in a group. So with all this in mind I will be getting Iceborne in the future after clearing up my backlog of games. So goodluck on your journey. antonioaaf
There are some events with guaranteed crowns. Here is a handy guide: https://monsterhunterworld.wiki.fextralife.com/Crowns If you have Iceborne (Master Rank) gear, make sure to farm for crowns in High Rank as they are much easier and quicker to complete.

I had forgotten everything of the game and had to relearn the mechanics, monsters and all quality of life stuff. Your post was really helpful and every new or returning player should read it to save themselves hours of time. Thanks for writing this up.
Steven-Spiegel
These tips are very good, currently I having a bad time looking for HR investigations for Kirin, for the elder dragons only need both Kirin and large Vaal... Trough safari i'm not getting any, and doong the HR50 for Kirin, I'm getting all the tracks but not getting any either even with Kirin at level 6, is quite frustrating, also killong Kirin in that missions is so difficult for me, i use defender equipement, maybe i had to looking for a better suite armour, i'm using a level 3 anti lighting but even with a chef plate, in two hits i'm dead. Beebatron
I've put around 230 hours in the game so far, periodically targeting events and grinding for crowns, but also playing normally to prevent fatigue and deleting the game in frustration. Many of those suggestions are good and useful, if only there was a way to truly beat the RNG factor completely for all of them. At this point I still have 17 crowns remaining to get (7 small, 10 large). I actually enjoy the game, but find it absolutely aggravating to work towards those crowns; especially when you factor the random element and the fact it (crowns) provide you nothing.
