Question for those that have played this: During the "bullet hell" sections, is that in VR as well or is it mostly flat with an occasional 3D visual?

To answer my own question, I'd hardly call this a VR game. The "virtual" parts within missions are awkward and the scale is off, especially during the "immersion zone" bits. The sound effects are laughably bad and the plane sounds like someone attached an rc motor to the plane. During the bullet hell sections imagine sitting in the very front row at a movie theater, straining your neck upwards to look at a gigantic screen that your eyes can't fully encompass and that's what it looks like.
