sharpiedie
I want to read more of the HISTORY of the Mojave Desert, but Fallout universe history. I want to buy a book, I'm not sure if the Fallout: NV guide is this kind of book. Is it?

DrBloodmoney
Agreed, but what I mean is, in pretty much every case any 'extended universe' fiction (spin off books/comics/movies etc) is hot garbage. The only place that ever has any fiction worth looking at is the actual game. look on the bright side, Fallout at least has some excellent writers on it, and there are tons of info on that stuff already in there, so at least there is some of what you want. I loved the universe in Remember Me - but that game had sweet-fuck-all to flesh it out beyond one play through, so without an (unlikely) sequel im boned there! Stevieboy
Maybe the official game guide might have some info if you want to actually read something, but generally the best way to find out more is to play the game, speak to all the NPC's, do all the side missions, pick up everything, press things on screen etc. Pretty much do everything in-game and the story and history should unfold.
