Decreasing the age

Hi, I'm currently playing the game and I was wondering how can I decrease the age of my character.

I've finished the first section and my age is already at 57 yo. 

Is there a way to decrease it?

Nope!

That's the whole hook of the game. You have a limited amount of deaths to beat it. 

 

I would suggest people don't move on from the first level until they can beat it under 25 years old, preferably 20 or 21. It gets harder after so you'd only be shooting yourself in the foot by moving on before then.

Just gotta keep practicing and learn enemy attacks and eventually you get through the game easier on your next playthrough.

Yes, there is. 

Replay the level.

Like you say, you finished the first level with 57 years, so you start level 2 with that age.

But if you replay level 1 and finish it with let's say 30, the game saves your "best" run, so next time you begin level 2, you'll start it with 30, not 57 anymore.
