Popular Post pellaeon42
Hi! I go by pellaeon, and I thought I'd introduce myself. I've been playing games for many years, but I never really cared about achievements/trophies. That is partially because, until last year, I had only played games on PC or Nintendo consoles, which either don't have achievements (Nintendo) or don't highlight them very much (PC). Last summer I finally bought a PS4, and one of the first games I played was Horizon Zero Dawn. When I finished the main story I noticed just how many trophies were left to get, and after looking through the list I realized that, given that I enjoyed the game quite a bit, hunting for all the trophies might be quite fun. I've also been watching The Completionist on YouTube for a while and was inspired by him. Fast-forward to now, and I think I'm going to start trying to get platinum trophies in a few games. Not all of them by any means. I don't care about the number of trophies I have in the least, I just think getting a platinum on a game I really enjoy can be an interesting way to experience everything the game has to offer. However, if I'm just not enjoying a game or it has unreasonable requirements for the platinum trophy, I won't stress myself trying to get it. The games I'm currently focused on are Horizon Zero Dawn, Spider-Man (2018), and The Witcher 3. In Horizon, I'm working on finishing up all of the miscellaneous activities left from my main playthrough. Spider-Man is a similar situation: I'm playing through the DLC stories and mopping up all the activities around the city. And finally, I'm just starting The Witcher 3. I've been looking forward to playing this game for years, and I decided to platinum it on my first run. I looked through the trophies list and it all looked reasonable (no impossible challenges or multiple playthroughs), and I've heard that playing on the hardest difficulty, which is required for the platinum, is the best way to play anyways. I would not be surprised at all if this journey takes over a year because I don't have a ton of time for gaming, but I'm super excited to see where it leads. Anyways, all of that was a long-winded way of saying that I'm glad to be here and I look forward to beating some games! P.S., I don't know how much overlap there is between HowLongtoBeat.com and this site, but I'm quite active on their forum with the username pellaeon.
