TheSlyGCooper
Hey guys, I've beaten this game many times on many platforms but never went for 100%. I just finished playthrough 1 of the story and was thinking of doing DLC, then playthrough 2 to hit max level and cleanup the rest of the trophies. Is it faster to do it this way or do playthrough 2 first?
HuntingFever
If you don't use the medkit exploit or have someone powerlevel you by killing Crawmerax and his minions over and over, you have to do 2 playthroughs to reach max rank, because the amount of available XP in Playthrough 1, craters once you get to approx Lv38-40 and is reduced to the very low single or double digits. You're better off leaving all the DLCs bar the Underdome, until Playthrough 2 to maximise the available XP and reduce how long it takes to hit max rank. If you follow a Guide, you will get virtually everything needed for the Plat, in Playthrough 1 and only have some of the Rank trophies and maybe 1 or 2 misc ones that are easily cleaned up later. The Zombie Island trophies only take 4 or 5 hours to get, but the other three DLCs are a serious time sink, no matter what difficulty you play on. Edited April 4, 2022 by HuntingFever Update. Can I get to max level just from 2 playthroughs or is the DLC required to get enough xp for that?

Getting to Lv61 is guaranteed if you do all the side missions again but you can drastically speed up getting to Lv61 and above by doing the DLCs (except for the Underdome, because the only XP you get from that entire DLC is a small amount from completing the sole mission you're given when starting it). avatary1985
My method is to play 1.5 playthrough. First, play like normal and finished the main story playthrough 1. Then play dlcs and get every trophies done except General Knoxx (because of Crawmarax+all quest+lv61) , leave Underdome untouched. Then play General Knoxx 2nd playthrough, go to area that Drifter appeared(enemy look like long leg spider) kill them with your car’ missiles will result in huge XP 10k each and farm these enemies. bottom left of the map will have a boss version of Drifter spawned, kill that one will result in 40k XP within 1 min + 5 min driving to that map. After you have 3 or more lv high than Drifter then it will gives less XP and when 5 or more lv you can’t farm it. Just finished General Knoxx dlc so all enemies will scaled up to your lv and you can farm Drifter again reaching lv 61 in no time.
