Find the ANK MK38 in Pedro Bay ASAP.

I wish I found this truck earlier..  I found it on Pedro Bay, no need to fix it up (Pristine condition).  It rivals the Tayga and I would say it is even better for hauling small cargo (sideboard not available on the civilian version).  Only setback is lack of addons/fuel consumption.  But that doesnt matter since fuel is everywhere in the game and addons you don't need for small cargo hauling.  Even with stock tires I am having no issue in Pedro Bay.  Don't bother with the raised suspension for offroad, it tips over too easy.  It also makes a strange humming sound like you would here in a sci-fi movie.  If you are early in the game, I do recommend trying to get this vehicle ASAP..  I haven't even upgraded anything on it yet.  Here is the article on Wiki for more info:

Description

The ANK Mk.38 is primarily based off the AM General Mk939. It is nearly identical with slight modifications to the grill and turn signal design.

The Mk.38 is a juggernaut offroad. Even without engine and gearbox upgrades it is among the fastest offroad trucks in the game. it also possesses an impressive amount of engine torque allowing it to move loads without any major loss of speed. With upgrades the Mk38 is nearly unstoppable and will tear through any kind of terrain at an impressive rate. The MK.38 also comes with unique tires exclusive to it. The ANK Mk.38 Offroad tires have one of the best ratings off-road and one of the best ratings in mud for an off-road tire. The Mk.38 as of phase 2 is now able to be equipped with TMHS mud tires.

Its good performance however is offset by its monstrous fuel consumption and poor stability. Furthermore the Mk38 has a tendency to flip on its sides if corners are taken too fast, a problem only worsened if equipped with a suspension lift. However equipping mud tires will give the Mk.38 rear duals making it more stable and reducing the risk of a rollover.

MK.38 Military

The MK.38 military variant does have one unique upgrade and disadvantage that its civilian counterpart does not share. The military variant is able to be equipped with tuned custom suspension added in phase 3 giving it incredible ground clearance at the cost of poor stability. The trucks biggest drawback however is its lack of any frame add-ons limiting its use and role as a small cargo hauler.

MK.38 Civilian

The MK.38 Civilian is a modified version that has been retrofitted for more versatility. Unlike its brother the Civilian variant lacks its signature sideboard bed and is painted a bright yellow. Because of its sideboard bed removal, the Civilian variant can support a small number of add-ons including a fuel tank, service body, high saddle, and low saddle. However unlike its brother it can not be equipped with the tuned custom suspension.

Pros

  • Even without upgrades this truck is capable of break-neck speeds.
  • Light weight and extremely powerful engine give this truck an extremely high power to weight ratio.
  • Stock tires are fairly decent in mud and very good in dirt.

Cons

  • Small fuel tank and greedy fuel consumption give this truck one of the shortest operating ranges in the game.
  • No frame addons other than the stock unremovable sideboard bed. The civilian version cannot be equipped with a loading crane or sideboard bed.
  • Stock tires provide poor stability which can cause roll-overs. A problem only worsened when lifted.
  • Poor durability, especially when utilizing its speed. Suspension and fuel tank are easily damaged.

Any video on Youtube fails to mention this beast of a truck. I got the ANK MK38 Civillian pretty early game and it out performs any truck early game.

It's even better to use it as a scout vehicle than using a scout vehicle. The reason it's so good because of it has one of the best power-to-weight ratios and it starts with off-road tires.

Just add a small saddle and use trailers to escort cargo. It can also do repairs.

The only downsides are the 200L tank and that it's not too stable (it will tip over if you're not careful).
